Styling Cosy Knitwear
Anyone else extremely excited to be back in cosy knitwear and teddy bear coats?! I’m not going to lie, I love being all wrapped up heading out the door in a huge wooly jumper. Thing is, I always find that after a few washes those cosy jumpers aren’t so cosy anymore. Quality is something I’m favouring when purchasing anything these days, if it doesn’t feel nice, I’m not buying. It’s definitely hard to do, especially when fast fashion is all around us but making a conscious effort to buy nice quality for the sake of an extra €10 is always worth it in my eyes.
So, when I was approached by Femme Luxe to collaborate on this look I wanted to make sure I liked the quality of the garments before I posted. Happy to report, quality is ace and cosiness levels are 100%. So let’s have a chat about each of the pieces and how I decided to style them.
Look number one starred this nude/pink knotted jumper. I don’t have anything like it currently in my wardrobe and find it so easy to dress up or down. I think the thing to keep in mind is that, it really is the centre piece of the entire look. I decided to pull out my vinyl skirt from last season to add a little edge. Clashing different textiles is such a funky way to bring your own personality to a look.
The next two pieces are very simple and I really wanted to piece them together. The dress is a such a lovely material and not at all see-through (something I think we all worry about when buying online). One of my favourite things to do come winter is layering jumpers with dresses. I especially love doing this with any of my summery dresses going into the winter. Layering is honestly my best friend! I loved the over look of this outfit and I think it’s perfect for going into the office or college. Keeping an outfit simple keeps it chic in my eyes – it’s just so easy to add a red lip or heavy gold jewellery to add your own personality as it is quite a nude colour palette.
I’ve linked all the outfit details below! I really loved styling these outfits and hope you found a little inspiration for your own wardrobe as we head into winter.
